The Late Americans: A Novel (Large Print / Paperback)
The Late Americans is a brutal, uncompromising portrait of likeable unlikeable characters as they navigate through the weeds they find themselves stuck in. While the brutality lingers, there is the reward of kindness in moments Taylor gives to the reader to remind them that not all is lost. Combining the best elements of Real Life and Filthy Animals, The Late Americans is the novel Taylor has wanted to write for us.— Jesse

“With writing that is equal parts piercing and tender, this novel shifts through a cast of grad students and laborers, lovers and friends — many of them queer men — as they navigate sex, money, art, and uncertain modern life in Iowa City.”
