Join a BookGroup

BookHampton is very excited to announce four great BookGroups. We have discovered that many of us enjoy making friends and connecting over a book conversation. We'd like to invite you to join us. The BookGroups are open-door — in other words, you can come to all of them or if you prefer, you can chose the book and date that suits your schedule.

Mondays at 5:30pm Amy Katz, the manager of our Southampton store, will be leading The Publick Reader book group  in a discussion of The Great American Short Story.  "The conversations are always spirited and everyone enjoys both the books and the chance to have a light supper with new friends."  Location: The Southampton Publick House, 40 Bowden Square, Southampton  Phone: 631-283-0270

Tuesdays at 1:00pm  Join Kim Lombardini in Sag Harbor for a bag lunch or an on-the-house coffee, and a wonderful new series that explores "The Intimidators: Authors We've Always Wanted to Read But..."  Kim, who is the Media Manager of our stores, said: "There are so many of us who see a book and think that we are just not 'ready'. Well I say, we should jump in together!"  Location: BookHampton 20 Main Street Sag Harbor Phone: 631-725-8425

Thursdays at 12:00pm Mary Braverman's acclaimed Rowdy Reader book group continues "Great Books in Small Packages," a look at short form fiction and nonfiction.  "Welcome!" says Mary, as the table fills at Rowdy Hall for lunch on Thursday. "We've been doing this a few years now, and I am still delighted that a new reader or two joins us every week. How great is that!"  Location: Rowdy Hall 10 Main Street East Hampton  Phone: 631-324-4939

Fridays at 12:30pm "The Southern Writers: Women" — BookSeller and journalist, Ashley Wilbourn Pinciaro hails from the South and she has brought a carpetbag full of the very best Southern writers. (She's also brought her tail-wagging sidekick Barnum, but that's another story!) "I think the thing I love the best about Southern writers is the edge. They've all got a dark side; it might be hidden under all that charm, but trust me it's there. Come check it out!" Location: BookHampton Southampton 93 Main Street  Phone: 631 283-0270

All  Books that are discussed at our BookGroups are available to participants at a 15% discount, in the store or online  at bookhampton.com  And should you have to miss a week or two, you can follow along on our website as well!
